Newstead House

The owner of Newstead house asked for an extension that incorporated a new sewing room, an extended deck and a reconfigured kitchen. The brief also required that an existing double blooming cherry tree be retained. The addition opens up the house to the quarter acre garden and introduces views from the entry of the house all the way down to the much loved garden. The construction detailing of the windows was very important to the original design intent.

From the client:

"With Crissy's design expertise and Clinton's structural knowledge, we were able to come up with an elegant extension for my existing home. We went through a few design options before I settled on the solution that was best for my living situation.

Clinton was really helpful during construction stages in answering all queries from the builder. All my family and friends are always very impressed with my renovated home as the extension and deck opens up new views into my garden. The design even took into consideration my magnolia tree which I got to keep."
